This year, participants will confront the contemporary issue of <strong>&#8220;AI Washing&#8221;<\/strong>\u2014the deceptive practice of misrepresenting artificial intelligence capabilities. We aim to challenge participants to critically analyze this emerging concern and propose effective policy frameworks to regulate misleading AI practices. At first, the theme for the Competition shall be released which shall enable the participants to engage in a more streamlined and holistic research. Next the Problem Statement shall be released. The teams shall be asked to put forth policy proposals that will address the policy questions put before them. The submissions made by them will undergo review by the team at Ikigai Law and the qualifying teams will be expected to give an oral presentation before a panel of judges. After the first presentation (Preliminary Round), all participants shall be given a detailed feedback pursuant to which they will be given an opportunity to revise their proposal within a day&#8217;s time. Mentors shall be provided for the day. Selected teams shall then present their revised proposals in front of the judges for the final round. <em>The winner shall be decided on the basis of both written submission and final oral presentation.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why should I participate?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Participants shall be given an opportunity to attend two Round Table Conferences being conducted as part of Techtonic 2023.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify wp-block-paragraph\">The Round Table Conference shall include panellists who are the <em>corps d&#8217;elite<\/em> of the trade from across the nation and abroad. The Conference shall be graced by academicians as well as industry experts from various renowned law firms who shall present their viewpoints. All the participants of Techtonic shall have the opportunity to witness it on our scenic campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All registered candidates shall have the opportunity to attend\/get the recording of an Online Session on &#8216;How to Write a Policy Proposal&#8217; by Ikigai Law.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Winners shall have the opportunity to intern with Ikigai Law.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Various publication opportunities shall be provided to the top ten policy proposals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All teams shall get a chance to impress various think tanks and NGOs to land long term internship and mentoring opportunities on their proposed policies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All teams shall have the opportunity to interact with and get mentoring sessions with industry experts from think tanks and law firms.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All teams shall have the opportunity to interact and collaborate with like-minded peers and colleagues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A Certificate of Participation shall be awarded to all participants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>The detailed rulebook for the oral rounds shall be published after results of the Written Submission are announced.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility and Team Composition<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A team shall consist of two members only. Cross-university teams are not allowed. Participation is open to all under-graduate and post-graduate students studying law and related subjects only.
