We started with one vision: To spread awareness and get ahead of the curve when it comes to a niche and dynamic area like Technology Law.
The NLIU-CLT Law and Technology Fair: ‘Techtonic’ is a major flagship event organized by the NLIU Cell for Law and Technology annually. It provides a chance for aspiring lawyers to explore their talent as policy makers as well as gain insight into various technology law related issues, plans and solutions. The two major highlights of this event are the Policy Case Competition which provides the students with an opportunity to question, analyse and improve upon the law on a pressing policy matter, and the Round Table Conference which includes a panel discussion with renowned industry experts. The event is an opportunity for budding lawyers, bureaucrats and policy makers to explore their interest as well as look for career avenues in the field of Technology Law.
The first edition of ‘Techtonic’ was successfully conducted online from 17th to 18th of April, 2021. Apart from the Policy Case Competition on the theme ‘Regulating Cyberbullying’ and the Round Table Conference on the theme of ‘Emerging Avenues of Tech Regulation and the Career Opportunities in the Industry’, a spirited debate and an interesting quiz competition had been organised on the broad theme of Law & Technology.
The second iteration of the Fair shall be held entirely in a physical set up from 24th to 26th of February 2023. This edition shall majorly feature the Policy Case Competition and the Round Table Conference. Ikigai Law has consented to be our Law Firm Partner for the Policy Case Competition. To add a fun element to the Fair, students may participate in a series of mini contests we plan to organise. Ranging from Scribbling Stratagem, to TechTask, to TechKnow Quiz, to Touch Their Hearts, everyone will get an opportunity to hone their understanding of Technology Law and get constructive feedback from our team.
